Some teachers, admins, students can get out of line, bad attitudes, etc. Lots of extracurricular activities & athletics Student services, including for disabled and ESOL students Opportunities for advanced coursework, especially through IB Diploma It’s definitely not perfect, but I’ve come to enjoy it. It’s a huge school-coming up on 4,000 students-with many resources for extracurriculars and community service, advanced study, etc. Today, as a rising senior, I look back and am very thankful for the opportunities Robinson has opened up to me. For most of that year and the next, I felt left out.īut thanks to the wonderful, welcoming positivity of many students, and some of my own efforts, I eventually fit in. However, since many elementary schools feed directly into Robinson, most of my classmates had known each other for 5+ years already. Junior: I came to Robinson 3/4ths of the way through my seventh grade year. Another thing Battlefield struggles with is the food, the school could do better when it comed to the taste.Overall, Battlefield is a school with opportunities and a lot of school spirit!. In a few of my classes,I'm the only black student, which can sometimes make me the subject of a few ignorant remarks. ![]() Junior: My name is Alina Glover and I am a junior at Battlefield High School.I have been attending the school since 2020, and the things I like about the school is the various electives it offers. The school allows its students to explore personal interests and even allows the students to switch electives if they please.Another thing I like about the school is its spirit. You can see students dressed up in school colors, boasting about how awesome the football team is, but the players aren’t the only people who show up.Student's flock to the stadium, cheering on their team and each other.Battlefield has some problems as well. One of them being diversity.Battlefield High School is mostly white. And don't be scared off by rumors about the rigor-the workload is super manageable, and teachers are really understanding. but our athletic programs are fantastic, and our football team is undefeated (lol)! If you're the type of student who likes challenging yourself with rigorous classes and expanding your worldview through exploring various extracurriculars (from Quiz Bowl to Bhangra), this is the school for you, and you will find students and faculty who share your interests and are willing to support you in all of your undertakings. What we DO have in common is that most of us are nerds. Contrary to popular belief, MLWGS isn't only good for its international studies or social studies classes-it has fantastic STEM and arts programs, as well, and the students have really diverse passions and strengths. The teachers are so talented and engaging, and they make learning truly enjoyable. Junior: MLWGS is a wonderful place, and I could not have made a better decision than to come here. ![]()
